- To cure a wart
Get half a crab and make the Sign of the Cross over it five times. Rub it to the wart, then bury it. By the time the crab rots the wart will have disappeared.
To Cure a Headache
Put a silk handkerchief on the doorstep, or spread it on a hawthorn bush on St Brigid's night. When a headache comes the handkerchief will bring relief if tied around the head.
