There is a mass-stone in Clonaugh bog. Mass was said there in penal days.
- Cairn hill got its name because there is a cairn on the top of it. Some say that Conal Gulban a chieftain was buried there. King Niall of the nine hostages encamped there with an army for a whole season. It is supposed that there is a treasure of gold hidden there.
Every person whose land touches Cairn Hill has an equal portion of the hill.
