    When the tinker got the ass, he painted him so that he looked like a young ass. One day, the man that sold the ass went to town for to buy another ass. When he went into the town, he saw a young ass and he thought he was a good one, so he bought him, and he paid a good price for him. He brought him home, and put him out to the field. The day came wet, and the man went out to bring him into the barn, but when he went out into the field, he saw the ass was the one he sold to the tinker, as the rain had washed off the paint.
