    Long ago the people believed that it was unlucky to get married in May. There was an old couplet well known at that time which ran - "The couple that marry in May
    In a short time one of them will make clay."
    It is believed that Thursday, Friday and Saturday are unlucky days on which to get married. Everybody knows the old rhyme
    Monday for health
    Tuesday for wealth
    Wednesday the best day of all
    Thursday for losses
