    When smoke is low it is a sign of rain and when it is high it is a sign of good weather.
    When the fire is blue it is a sign of bad weather and when very red it's a sign of good weather.
    When the smoke goes up the chimney straight it is a sign of good weather.
    A star seen near the moon is a sign of a storm.
    When white clouds or 'castles' are seen in the sky we may expect rain.
    Leaden clouds forecast showers.
