The following is another story told to show how witty the old native speakers were. This one is about a man named Sean O H. Aodha (Hayes) who lived somewhere in the vicinity of Youghal. He was poetical and was supposed to make some songs but I cant get any one. The following is told about him.The house where he was living was infested with rats and some friends promised him a cat. This day he sent his son for the cat. Some time during the son's absence he was supposed to go to the rats hole and speak into the rats in the following manner.
