    about three years ago a young girl was married in her own home; but this is not to be wondered at because there was a beautiful little chapel attached to the house.
    Before the bridal pair go on their honey-moon a party is given and all the people in the neighbour-hood is invited.
    A custom which is always observed in Swords is: An old shoe is tied to the back of the car in which the couple are travelling as it is supposed to bring good luck.
