- In Dalkey the people have many signs that foretell what kind of weather there wi(ll) be. Some people can tell what weather we shall have by the appearance of the sea, the land and the animals. The fishermen know most about the sea.
If Howth seems near to us, it is a sign of rain and if it seems far away it is a sign of good weather. There is going to be a storm when seagulls come over the land and cry.
