  1. I saw the ship that stuck on the bar about two years ago, its name was the White Abbey. The ship was going to Mr Morgan with a load of coal, and it was having no pilot stuck in heaps of sand. It is said that attempts were about to be made to take her out, but it was not done. She is stuck there yet with her cargo of coal, and is worth hundreds of pounds. It seems that she will be taken out into the middle of the ocean, before this day twelve months.
