There went three men to a tailor for work.

There went three men to a tailor for work. And he asked the first man what he could do, he said he could make a suit of clothes for a man if he saw him going down the street. He asked the second man what he could do and he said he could make a suit of clothes for a man if he saw him going round the corner of a house. He asked the third man what he could do and he said he could make a suit of clothes for a man if he saw the corner he went round.
Three men went to a farmer for work. He asked the first man how near a precipice he could bring a horse and cart. He said he could go within an inch of it. He asked the second man how near he could get to it. He said he could go within a foot of it [sic] The third man said he would keep as far off it as he could and that was the man who got the work.
