When we heard the roars of William Glen.
    Chorus:-
    Run, boys, run, run away,
For your life's in danger this very day,
    5
With that, the tide gave another gush,
And it swept Betty Harvey from under the bush,
When the tide did cease, the wind got able,
And it knocked down Mc Geever's gable.
    Chorus:-
    Run, boys run, run away,
For your life's in danger this very day.
    6
When John Mc Hugh did see the flood,
He began to make a dyke of mud,
But John, he made the dyke too straight,
So the tide swept down his water gate,
So then, the tide gave another turn,
And it swept away Pat Bell's wee churn,
    Chorus:-
    Run, boys, run, run away,
For your life's in danger this very day.
