    Carlin went into the palace and saw all the lovely clothes it contained. He dressed himself of the best and going out, entered one of the stables where he found a pony. He saddled it and rode the King's palace. By this time everyone was afraid of him, so that when he met the king's daughter and asked her to marry him, she consented. They got married and the wedding feast lasted for seven days and nights, the last night was best of all. So old Carlin came off lucky in the end.
