    Long ago the people in this district used to wash themselves before they would make the butter.

    Long ago the people in this district used to wash themselves before they would make the butter.
    One day a woman was making the butter and she hung the salt to the roof in a packet, and she had the butter on a chair in a basin. She got up on the chair to get down the salt and she fell back into the butter. She got up and began pulling the butter from her clothes and calling at the top of her voice. "That's butter for you.
