  1. The centre for the relief brochan was Brocagh. An old boiler which was used to make the brochan can still be seen at Highview, Welchtown. It is said that it took 1 cwt. of Indian meal to thicken the boiler. Each person received his share in a noggin.
    Anyone with two cows, or more, would not get the brochan.
