  1. My father told me this.
    One time a man had a lot of cows in a field not far from an old rath. Every morning when he came to look at his cows, he found that there was always one missing. One morning he saw a lot of fairies taking away one of his cows. When he got up to them he said "You will pay for this". They got afraid and said they would give him gold for all the cows they stole.
