    There was a boy one time and his parents were dead He was living with his stepmother who (had) was very cross with him She would send him out to heard cows and goats every morning She would give him nothing but a crust of bread for his breakfast When he would come in the evening and put in his flock his stepmother would put him to bed and beat him Instead of getting thin he was getting fatter
