  1. The farmer prepares to winnow the corn by riddling it.
    A riddle would remind you of a big round basket with small holes in the bottom of it to let the grain and chaff fall through. The short bits of straw and rubbish of that kind cannot fall through so they are put aside. The grain and the chaff fall in a heap at his feet. When he has the grain and the chaff lying at his feet he must winnow it so this is how he does it. He opens both doors of the barn and the wind comes in one door and goes out the other door. Then he gets a bháit and fills it
