  2. In the small but picturesque town of Buncrana is a holy well which which was blessed by a priest named Father Hegarty who was marty-red for his faith many years ago. Whether any cures have taken place at the well I do not know but the people of the district have great devotion to the holy priest for during the day the well-side is seldom deserted.
    About a quarter of a mile from the well is the holy martyr's grave (whch) which is a few feet from a huge rock called "Father Hegarty's rock. Here, the story goes, Father Hegarty put a boat out to sea. The soldiers standing on the
