    Ireland long ago the kings went to a lonely place and built castles for themselves. They dug a trench around the castle to prevent their enemies from attacking them. Today the lios is the home of the fairies. There is supposed to be a pig with fiery eyes in the lios in Cloonacat. Many stories are told about this strange animal.
    One night a man was out visiting. It was about midnight when it was coming home. He had to pass by the lios. When he came opposite the lios this strange animal came out before him. It would not let him home. He tried several times to go home but in vain. He went into a house. He told them his story. The woman of the house gave him salt to put in his pockets. She sent her two sons with him. When they came to the lios the man saw the pig but the two boys cold see nothing. it did not bother with them any more. A short time after thisis the man died.
