   Folklore 23rd November 1938 The most thing that damage land is the rabbits, they ate the hay and oats. They bore the ditches and dig holes on them and kick them down. They tramp the good land. There was once a man who used to catch the rabbits with traps and snares and he used to send them to Dunmore and used to sell them and he used to get four pence and five for each of them.

   Folklore 24-11-'38

   The luckiest time of the year to get married is June. The luckiest day of the week is Thursday. It is right to wear borrowed clothes when they are getting married. Side cars and horses were used for driving home. Old shoes were thrown after the couple for luck.
