    People decorate their houses with holly and ivy at Christmas.
    They bring in the summer that is a piece of blossomed furze bush on May day and stick it under the rafter and leave it there until next May day.
    The people bring home a bit of blessed palm on Palm Sunday.
    It reminds us of Our Lord's last journey into Jerusalem on the Sunday before his death.
    Holy Water blessed on Whit Sunday is supposed to have a special virtue
