    A Fairy Story
There is a place in the village of Corracrin called The Pipers Hill. People say that a piper used to be seen playing music for the fairies on top of this hill long ago. The fairies used to be running and singing in the sandpit near it.
Another thing about that place is that in the middle of the night fairy horses could be heard running about the place people were often wakened by the tramping of the horses.
There is a hill in Ballaghlode called the Fairy Hill. It is so called because long ago people could hear the fairies there and when coming home late at night they used to hear a fairy cock crowing on top of the hill.
