    Noted Men
    There was an old mower living in the village of Aughloragh called Michael Martyn and he was a great mower of hay. There was a great dancer living in the village of Cortoon called Michael Mcgough. He was a very good dancer he danced in Dublin and people from Mayo Sligo and Galway were there to see him dancing.
    There were very good swimmers living in the village of Corracrín the Feeney's, Thomas Feeney and two ladies who were Protestants. There was a great jumper living in the village of Barrarae called Paddy Peters. There was a great runner living in the village of Carrantanliss Tuam called Patrick Chrisam. There was a great singer living in the village of Curlea called Pat Scarry he was also a great story teller.
