Near our school there is an old monument near a large heap of stones. there is a lios or fort in the same field. There are two other forts at a short distance from the fort near the monument. At the monument there are three large flat grave stones. Two of them are broken and the writing on them cannot be now read. On the third stone is written Pray for the soul of Bridgid Dillon Lady of Athenry who caused this monument to be made for her Lord and bot her sons Anno Dom 1677
