  1. Marriage Customs
    The people of this area are very fond of old sayings about marriage. The following piece is very interesting. People say if you are married on certain days of the week either ill - luck or good luck will follow.
    "Monday for health.
    Tuesday for wealth.
    Wednesday the best day of all.
    Thursday for losses.
    Friday for crosses.
    Saturday the worst day of all."
    If you marry in May you will rue the day.
    If you marry in Lent you will live to repent.
    Saturday's fitting is a short sitting.
    It is very unlucky to change the wedding day.
    No happiness will come from a marriage that takes place in a church wherein a funeral is being celebrated at the same time.
