  1. One night about forty years ago there was a man living in Gubnaveigh and he had a big grey-hound. One night he made an appointment with another man who lived near the mountain to go hunting next evening. He went to that house about ten o'clock. They were sitting along the fire and about twelve o'clock there came a big crowd of fairies to the door and broke it in and they all came into the house. The Gubnaveigh man was very much afraid when he found the house filling up with fairies. The man of the house told him not to fear for they would not harm him for they visited there often. The two men sat very quiet at the fire while they fairies played and danced through the house. About four o'clock the fairies left the house and the two men got their breakfast and went away to hunt.
