  1. Mass was said by a hunted priest out in Fiddandarry near where Jack Cabbery lives now formerly owned by Dan Devaney. This place is situated at the North-western base of the Ox Mountains and on the left bank of the Easkey river.
The track of the altar is there still. It is called "Cruchan na hAltora" still. Spy hill is near. From that hill a man on watch spied four or five men creeping along the heather and as they priest was finishing Mass he just escaped with his life.
The priest worked by day disguised as a workman. Fiddandarry is in Kilmacshalgan.
