    One night a crowd of boys were coming home from a house, after playing cards. They stood conversing at a cross-road. It was about twelve o'clock, and when they were just thinking of departing, a voice from inside the fence told them to go home. One of the boys said that he would see who was that person. He went into the field, but he saw no one. His comrade boys thought it too long he was inside. They went in and he was stretched inside in the field. They took him to a neighbour's house and he was nearly dead. A messenger went for the priest, and when the priest came and annointed him. The priest began to inquire of his comrades if he got any fright. They told them what had happened, and he
