Once upon a time there lived a certain man and his wife in Killflyn. One day the man went out for wood for the fire. After a while, his wife went out on the road to see if he was coming up the road with a tail about six feet long. The woman ran in and he came in after her. She ran up in the room and shut the door. The dog licked every cup in the dresser, and after that they could not be broken.
A "Black and Tan" was shot in the place where the dog first appeared.
