  2. One day a man sent his servant with chains to a forge which was situation at the Mall. He requested the chains to be mended. The smith had a lot of work to do before the boy came and it was very late when the chain was mended.
    The smith told the boy not to go home at all that night because there was a spirit seen at a certain crossroad which he had to pass. He said he should go and off he went putting the chains around his neck.
    When he came to the cross he saw the spirit and she attacked him. The two of them fought for a time,
