  1. There was a family of the Sheas living near Ballyledder fort. A young lady came into the house and asked the woman of the house for a jug of milk. The young lady said twas the best use she made of that jug of milk.
    She said it was for a young baby they had in the fort. That young lady told the woman when she would be putting out the ashes not to throw it with the wind, because it was soiling all their own clothes. This was about 100 years ago.
