    letters are very artistically done. A few examples of the headlines are.
    Sincerity should be written in letters of gold.
    Provide against the worst and hope for the best.
    Justice to all men but friendship to a few.
    Command foolishly and you'll be obeyed accordingly.

    The spelling in the copy book is the same as at present except in cases of words containing "ss" Instead of "ss" was written "fs" 'ie' buissnefs, pafses instead of business, passes. The rest of the copy book contains numerous examples in Arithmetic. At the top of each section is written the kind of sums done and the rules or tables for doing them as shown below.
    Addition of coin, under this is given the table. It contains examples with three to six adds the pound in each
