    The spelling in the copy book is the same as at present except in cases of words containing "ss" Instead of "ss" was written "fs" 'ie' buissnefs, pafses instead of business, passes. The rest of the copy book contains numerous examples in Arithmetic. At the top of each section is written the kind of sums done and the rules or tables for doing them as shown below.
