  1. There are a lot of yarns, or stories in connection with priests told in this district. One of the many stories is about a cock and a priest. It is told as follows. A priest in the older times had a habit of visiting a certain house late at night, and he used to return home at about twelve o’clock in the night. He had a few houses to pass on his way home. As he was passed one of these houses (to) every night on horseback a cock used to crow.
The priest did not like listening to the cock crowing, and he told the woman that owned the cock to kill it. The woman killed the cock, and as the priest was passing home next time he fell of his horse, and was killed.
