  1. Old Abbey.
    Manisternagailligduff is in the parish of Shanagolden in the barony of Shanid. On Nov 12th 1703, Pierce, son of John Green was murdered in the abbey. He was buried in Shanagolden, where his tombstone is still to be seen. In 1732 George Green was high sheriff of the county and in his will he left the abbey to his son John. John left the abbey in 1770, and the Hodges were the next settlers. George Hodge died in 1788 and left it to his cousin G. Morgan
