  1. Long ago there were only a few shops in this town. At that time the people in the country bought their goods on Sunday after Mass, which lasted them for the week.
    Goods were often bartered in this district, such as when a person sold a sheep, the buyer would give him the worth of it in crops or fruit.
    Sometimes when the buyer would not take the goods immediately after paying for them, he would give the seller something extra for to keep it for him, and
