  1. The treasure is supposed to be hidden around the Castle and on top of it. It was put there by the Irish because they did not want Ginkel to get it after he had blown up the Castle. Attempts have been made to unearth it. The treasure consists of gold, silver, valuable vessels and coins. The supposed value is not known. Other gold was found long ago in the district.
