  1. I
Oh! sing me a song of a fame not dead
And tell me a tale of a name they dread
Of Tipperary of old that ever made bold
To fight for the right of the claim she made.
    Chorus
Then hurrah for the gallant Tipperary boys
Those brave and true-hearted young men
Who in days long ago gave no rest to the foe
On the hills or the vales or the glens
Oh! these were the the days that were long
    and bright
And theirs were the hearts that were strong and light
But can't we, as they have something to say
In setting the things that were wrong, aright
    II
The songs and the dance of our native
    land,
They leave in the shade those of foreign brand
This the same with the games all all nations' aims
For all those do the boys of Tipperary stand.
