    May Eve
Some people in Ireland have a custom of putting a white-thorn bush at the door on May Eve. The cause of it dates back to the time of Our Lord. The Jews were looking for Our Lord but an informer told them that he had gone into a house and he had it marked with a little green bush at the door. By the time the Jews got to the house all the houses around the place had a little white-thorn bush out side their doors.
