- At Longstone Cullen there lived some few years ago an old man. “A rale gentleman as the old women used to say”.
One very snowy evening a poor man went to for a bundle of hay, for his donkey. He refused and said he would be destroying his farm with wisps of hay flying about, and to clear off.
IN the poor man’s house every night the boys around gathered for a chat.
They made up a plan to be even with old miser. They made eight boys get donkeys and led them to his hall-door, where already a fine(continues on next page)
