  1. A very, very long time ago there lived in Slane a woman and her seven sons. They were very poor. One day the seven sons came in and they said to their mother "Bake us a Connac of bread" and we will go to seek our fortune. The seven sons left.
    They walked on and on until they came to seven crossroads. One of the seven sons was Sean and they were to meet at the end of seven years at the cross roads where they parted.
    Sean went on until he met a castle. He went there to look for employment and he was told that every man that went to that job was beheaded. Sean was told that if he stayed three nights in this castle without being beheaded he would get a pan and a crock full of
