  1. An Old Noggin
    First they got a round piece of wood for the bottom of the noggin. Then they got staves about an inch and a half wide and six inches long and the handle nine inches long and they put three hoops each one inch wide around the noggin and then they settle it with the hoops and the noggin is made.

  2. They got a block of poplar or sycamore and formed the shape of your foot with a spoke-shave. Then they get uppers and hind-quarter and tacked the timber soles on them and then the clogs are made.
