- John Kelly, Pat Bardon and Joe Coughlan were the only poets in Coralstown. John Kelly used to write rhymes for the party men about eighty years ago. Joe Coughlan used to write Charades for the Almanac. Pat Bardon who died a few years ago was the best of the poets. He used to write grand poems one of which was "The blackthorn of Ballymore."When St. Patrick came our land to bless
