- The townland I live in is called Lissanurlan and it is in the parish of Longford. There are about ten families in our townland. Ther are about eighty people in it and a lot of trees around it. There is only one man over seventy years of age and can tell stories in English but not in Irish, he is a loan man he lives in a thatched house by himself. His name is games murray. There is a good deal of houses more in olden times then now. There is a very big wood in our place. I is about two hundred miles along and twenty yards wide. There are a few songs about our townland.
