  1. Gold is supposed to be hidden at Ballard , Parish of Tomacork,County Wicklow. It is not known who placed it there . Four men went to dig for it one evening. They had worked for some time when they heard a noise like the sea roaring getting nearer and nearer to them, so they got afraid and ran home and left their tools behind them. They returned next morning and filled in the hole.
No one ever saw a light or any supernatural guardian minding this treasure. It is said that no one ever searched for the hidden treasure there after.
