    Cures
Miss E. Carton Ballyrankin has often seen the cure being prepared for people "in a decline."
A large bunch of "She" dandelions is gathered and the leaves pounded in a bowl till the juice is extracted. The juice is then put in milk, and boiled and given to the patient.
She believes it a perfect cure for consumption

  2. Worm Cure
There is a woman by the name of Keeley that cures worm fever.
She cures with an herb called the Canavan-beg. This is how she does it. She searches in a field for the herb and pulls it in the name of the child that is affected with the worms.
Then she rubs the herb in her hand, and if a froth comes on the herb the child has the worm fever. She then pounds the herb and gets the juice and puts it in a bottle. The child has to be rubbed nine times every morning - on the forehead, heart, palms of hands and soles of feet.
    The child is soon well.
