    When the Cuckoo reaches this district of Castlerahan early, the people around here say, that is the sign of good weather. The cuckoo does not build a nest of its own but when it finds a cosy nest of another bird it lays its egg in it, and the other bird hatches it unnoticed, and when the young cuckoo comes out of the shell, it throws out the other little birds, and the mother bird feeds it until it is able
