- Molly Rush used to tach somewhere in Market Square in bastlebar. She used to teach in a small house. Some children used to pay her by bringing some money every week and others used to bring turf to keep the fire burning. The pupils had double meaning spelling books. These valuable books used to last them five or six years. The pupils used to think a lot about her and thought there was no one like her. She used to teach all in one class. They used to learn spellings, arithmetic and English. This teacher was known by the people as "Reading made easy".
