  1. The person that make the cure for a somes [?] sore throat put it lying on the ground between two stools one at their head and one at their feet. Then the person that makes it gets a bit of a stick and hits the stool at their feet three shot in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

  2. Long ago spades were manufactured at home. The spade shafts were made by men who lived around this locality. Then these shafts were taken to the foundary in Garrick.
