    panes are made of cut glass. The castle has been neglected since the time of McMurrough's death as it was he who owned it after the O'Donnells. The roof fell in, and the slates, timber, windows and doors were stolen, only the stairs remains, and this castle is three stores high. There is a room yet and you can see where the ammunition was kept. There are some great songs made about this castle and some of them are world - famed. It is said there used to be people seen going into this castle but were never seen coming out again, nor never heard tell of again. Some say they were killed. An attack has never been heard of on Doe Castle.
