  1. (1) If there is a rainbow in the morning there is going to be rain.
    (2) If there is a rainbow in the evening it is a sign of good weather.
    (3) When the new moon is lying flat is the sign of wet and stormy weather.
    (4) When the new moon is up sharp so that you could hang your cap on it, there is going to be good weather.
    (5) Whenever a star shoots, in whatever direction it shoots, the wind will be blowing from that quarter the next day.
    (6) In the West when the clouds are red at sunset there is going to be rain.
    (7) When the wind is coming from the south east there is going to be rain.
    (8) When it is blowing from the north it is the sign of good weather.
    (9) The south east is the wind which brings most rain to our district.
    (10) When the swallows fly low it is the sign of a storm.
    (11) When the crows fly high and then dart down to the earth again it is a sign of wind.
    (12) The return of the swallows is a sign of Summer.
